We had an opportunity to be inspired by local artist Kenrick Smith. He guided us in a 5,4,3,2,1 senses reflection. 

5 - We saw container ships, sand designs, waves, seagulls, Kenrick, our Arataki school student and adult whanau, dogs and rips.

4 - We heard the wind, ocean, waves and people talking.

3 - We felt sand, sunscreen, peace, air, sunburn, heat/cold, rakes and bamboo. 

2 - We heard footsteps, the wind and ocean.

1 - We could taste the salty air, water and yummy morning tea. 

We had so much fun and really enjoyed creating amazing sand art.
