Hopukiore tamariki, kaiako and whānau helpers noticed and wondered about amazing things during our Mauao trip.

Some of these were: the beautiful blue colour of the ocean and waves and the fabulous green trees, Oscar the seal relaxing in the water and a baby seal on the rocks.

We had to carefully walk around the Mount as it was slippery on the tracks. We noticed container ships and ferries, birds nesting and nearby islands. We really enjoyed the scavenger hunt where we had to do some visual orienteering finding landmarks.

At the end of our trip we had a fun play at Hopukiore's Park.
