Team Montessori are very grateful for the wonderful support shown by the Arataki School Community at our Junk to Funk Kids Market.  Our organising committee was adamant that we wanted to offer the market to everyone and it felt like everyone came.  The timing of the market coincided with the birthday anniversary of Maria Montessori, Italy's first female doctor and a scientist, who developed the Montessori approach to education. 

Following her beliefs of a peaceful, kind, and caring world, we are going to use the money raised (officially just under $1000) to buy books that the children choose and add them to our school library for everyone to enjoy.
