Wow, what a day these amazing players had!

On June 16,  Arataki students played their hearts out in the Year 3/4 Basketball World Cup!

I have been super proud to be apart of this team for the last year and a half seeing them work hard and develop into great players and come together as a team. But as you know it takes a village and this team have been super lucky to have some great parent coaches too. A huge thank you to Michelle for going above and beyond in your coaching duties this term and to Lucy’s dad and Mason’s dad for stepping up too! We are very lucky.

Team Poland won all of their pool games by more than a few baskets and reached the semi finals finishing 4th out of 24 teams. It was a long and very tiring day with 8 games played. But every single one of them demonstrated fantastic skills and the team aroha was huge!
