Tēnā koutou e te whānau
I hope your week has gone well, it's incredible that we are on the countdown to the end of the term.
A couple of things to look out for on Hero. Your child's teacher has been busy updating progress in Reading, Writing and Mathematics as well as sharing a Learning Story throughout the term. On Wednesday 5 April a summary of how your child has started the 2023 school year will also be available on Hero.
Keeping our tamariki safe.
In today's world, children have access to a vast array of media, from television shows and movies to online videos and social media. While these can be great sources of entertainment and education, it is essential to monitor what your child is watching and to ensure that it is age-appropriate and aligned with your family values.
Furthermore, it is vital to know where your children are at all times, whether they are at school, with friends, or out and about. Having a clear understanding of their whereabouts can help keep them safe and prevent any potential dangers.
We understand that it can be challenging to keep track of your child's activities at all times, but we encourage you to have regular conversations with them about their daily routines and any new interests they may have. By doing so, you can build a stronger relationship with your child and help them feel more comfortable discussing any concerns they may have.
Thank you for your continued support, and please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
Have a lovely and safe weekend.
Ngā mihi
